Celebrate all things sheep and wool with a weekend of family fun on Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26, 10:00AM – 5:00PM!

Gather the flock and “herd” on down to Billings Farm & Museum for an exciting glimpse of Vermont’s sheep farming history.

Fill out a Sheep-to-Yarn Passport as you follow the stages in the sheep-to-yarn process.  From fleece to fiber wonders, collect stamps at each station to earn a prize.

Try your hand at processing wool. Pick straw and dirt from sheared wool at the Skirting Station and align the woolen fibers in the Carding Station.

Admire the colorful display of dyed yarn, the final transformation of wool before spinning. See drop spindle and wheel spinning demonstrations and spin your own woolen bracelet to take home. Discover fiber arts like felting, knitting, and crocheting, and watch live weaving on a loom.

Marvel at live demonstrations by skilled Border Collies as they herd sheep with precision and grace.

Enjoy Vermont-made ice cream and snacks at the Farmhouse Scoop Shop, and delicious food truck fare, available for purchase.
