Guided Quest at Cedar Circle Farm

Sat 05/18 10AM – 11AM

See and learn about the methods this farm is using to grow food in a climate-friendly way!

A member of the farm staff will lead this guided Quest that will follow the path of the Farm’s recently updated Quest and point out practices including no-till and regenerative agriculture, perennial native plants, crop rotation, conservation and land management, wildlife habitat, and what crops are being grown.

Cedar Circle Farm and Education Center is one of the 25 farms that are part of Vital Communities’ Climate Farmer Stories project!

Over the 20 years of existence, the Farm’s practices have evolved to incorporate regenerative organic farming, and the Farm’s purpose and activities have evolved to include a thriving education program and opportunities for community engagement. Cedar Circle Farm operates as an organic farm with a social mission that prioritizes involving members of our community to learn more about their practices that promote regenerative agriculture, good health, and a resource-rich environment.

Be prepared: Bring sturdy footwear, a water bottle, and binoculars if you have them, and be prepared for the weather! The terrain is a working farm in the spring, so if there is rain ahead of the tour, there will be mud. Snacks and lunch are available for purchase in our farmstand and cafe, or bring your own.

Cedar Circle Farm and Education Center is a non-profit educational organic farm located on conserved land along the Connecticut River. The farm consists of over 40 acres and, as well as growing organic produce, is home to a bustling farmstand, café, commercial kitchen, and Education Center. The farm is dedicated to agricultural scientific research in the public interest, and to providing agricultural education and training to children, parents, educators, farmers, consumers, students and other members of the public.
