SKATE VERMONT - is a celebration of the lake, ice and all things winter. This weekend will be filled with fun for the whole family with ice skating, speed skating marathons and recreational racing for all ages and abilities, torch light skating parade, food, live entertainment and the first annual Taste of the Lake, a culinary tour of Lake Morey's Skate Trail, the longest maintained trail in th US.
SPEED SKATING MARATHON
Dates: Saturday, January 30
9:30AM - 11:00AM - Speed Skating Workshop (complimentary)
11:15AM - 2k Race (recreational race, all ages and abilities welcome)
11:30AM - 5k Race (recreational race, all ages and abilities welcome)
1:00PM - 25k Race

Location: Lake Morey Resort, Clubhouse Road, Fairlee, Vermont
Lake Morey Resort is hosting two speed skating marathons, 25 km and 40 km, as part of the MSI Series from Marathon Skating International. There will be 2 km and 5 km races for skaters of all abilities, using all kinds of skates. Hockey skates and Nordic skates are suitable for the speed skating workshop and the shorter distance races. A limited number of free speed skate rentals will be available for worshop registrants. Expert skaters and equipment specialists will be onsite to answer your questions and provide advice and instruction. TASTE OF THE LAKE - A Culinary Tour of the Lake Morey Skate Trail

The Lake Morey Resort brings you to the 1st annual "Taste of the Lake". A progressive culinary competition along the Lake Morey Skate Trail. Local restaurants competing include: Colatina Exit, Perfect Pear, Leda's, Stella's, Carpenter & Main and more. Fun for all and a lmited number of tickets sold. Please purchase tickets ($10/person under 5 free) at the Lake Morey Resort or call reservations directly at 800-423-1211. Limited number of ice skates will be available for use. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Upper Valley Trails Alliance.
